Beautiful U Day has always been a celebration of beautification and sustainability at the University of Minnesota. While we've always had ways for people to get involved in beautification efforts -- planting trees and flowers; picking up litter -- it's always been more difficult to find "green" projects where we could include the campus community.
With that in mind, and to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Beautiful U Day, we're giving away 10,000 compact florescent light bulbs on April 17. By putting 10,000 energy efficient light bulbs to use in residence halls, offices, and meeting rooms all across campus, the entire campus community can make a diffference every time they turn on the lights!
